I love the summer in the UK! The winters are so long and dark here so I
know I'm not alone in wanting to make the most of the summer months! I
get so excited about the longer and warmer months and love to plan all
the places I can visit with my children. There are so many wonderful
places to visit. Since becoming a lone parent I've holidayed in the UK
only. However, I'm lucky to live in the wonderful South West and it's
amazing coastline. We holiday every year in Cornwall which has the best
beaches. I enjoy sea swimming and the water of the Cornish coast is
clear turquoise blue in many places so you feel like your swimming off a
tropical beach! Two of my favourite books are 'Wild Swimming Coast' and
'Wild Guide' as I love the outdoors! I took my kids camping last
weekend - it was their first time and they loved it! Now they are
getting older it's my dream to travel abroad with them to many places.
About 20 years ago I worked and travelled in Australia and fell in love
with it. Other places to travel to on my list are California, most of
the European countries, Newzealand, China, Japan, Africa and India. I
think I may have to become a travel writer! Have a great day!
