Day 8 - Music - 30 Days of Inspiration

Hello and welcome to Day 8 of 30 Days of Inspiration! Today my inspiration is music!
Creating art is a very meditative practice and I listen to music which helps to enhance my concentration and which uplifts my mood and relaxes me here are some of the artists I currently listed to:
Ashana - http://soundofashana.com/ - she sings beautifully and plays crystal singing bowls
Deva Premal - beautiful chants and music  http://devapremalmiten.com/
Loreena McKennit - harpist, pianist and singer/songwriter http://loreenamckennitt.com/
Jonathan Goldman - therapeutic music arrangements - https://www.healingsounds.com/
Beth Knolle (folk harpist)
Andy Thurgood & Elizabeth Whiter - Tibetan Soul Journey (Tibetan singing bowls)
Tim Wheater - theraputic musician and vocalist - http://www.timwheater.co.uk/
Songs from the Disney Fairy Movies  - upbeat and fun!
Calm App - great app to help with meditation and I love the relaxing tracks.

Most of the music I listen to is therapeutic - I started a sound healing journey two years ago when I went on one of Debbie Walker's fabulous Suara Sound Healing workshops.  I had been diagnosed with ME a couple of months before I went along and I was drawn to Debbie as she had recovered from the illness through her use of sound healing.  It was an amazing and powerful workshop and it really set me on a new path with regards to the kind of music I listen to (hence the list above).  For more about Debbie go to http://www.suarasoundhealing.com/  I'm taking part in another of her workshops on 8th August in Cornwall which will be followed in the evening by an amazing concert of sound in Carnglaze Caverns, St Neot, Cornwall see - http://www.whatsoncornwall.co.uk/spiritual/the-lion-s-gate-harmonic-alignment-event

This year  - on my 42nd birthday in January - as my new year's resolution I had my first harp lesson and I love it!  Its really helping me health wise.

My children do too and they find it very relaxing.  Its never too late to learn!

Until tomorrow!
