Day 6 - Beautiful Books- 30 Days of Inspiration

Good Monday Morning! I hope you had a good weekend. Today I'm sharing some of the books which are inspiring me right now. I love Paint Mojo by Tracy Verdugo it's one I pick up regularly for colour and design inspiration. Lots of lovely projects. I'm reading 'Quiet' by Susan Cain which is all about introverts - very revealing and surprising! I'm a quiet person and was always picked on for it at school or had it pointed out to me since then that "I'm very quiet". Drives me insane! This book points out that our current social 'norm' is that everyone is supposed to act like extroverts always being 'out there'. For business these days it's become essential - it doesn't come naturally to me so I do find it hard! This book is my solace because it says (as I've always felt) it's ok to be quiet. Question why is it ok for an adult to say "your child is very quiet /shy" and not ok to say "your child is very loud and annoying" ? He he. My next book is Daily Guidance from your Angels by Doreen Virtue. I love the uplifting messages in this book and it always brings me solace. I collect Doreen's books and oracle cards (I've read and collected oracle cards since my teens). Lastly, I love 'Drawing for Fantasy Artists'. As with any skill it's important to keep honing and developing it so even after over 30 years of creating art I'm willing to learn! Have a great day!
